One example is the project management system I use, called Teamwork; it is the system within which I track many tasks and processes. However, this is just one example of a system; as your Operations Manager, I oversee many systems for your business, each as indispensable and useful as the project management software.
One of the most important system is the metrics for your business. If you don’t review your metrics, you’re essentially flying blind. The technology available to us today allows us to get extremely detailed information about your business, it’s visibility and it’s impact. For instance, your metrics can show us how many unique visitors your website gets each week, and where they are coming from. We can also learn how well a new product or service is performing, how long visitors are spending on each of your web pages, and what they are clicking on.
Metrics is just one of the systems I review and manage for you. As your Operations Manager I also review and report on these vital systems:
Backups – I ensure that your website, important business documents and SOP (read more about that here) are backed up regularly.
Money – Where possible, I help automate your payment processing, expense reporting, and recurring billings.
Marketing – If you don’t already have one, I create a marketing tracking system for you, such as calendars for promotions, social media post schedules, ad tracking, newsletter distribution and any other marketing activities.
Relationships – A CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) is another vital system for your business; if you don’t have one, I’ll help implement and manage one for you.
